Heather Lee O’Keefe is a 24-year-old lawyer, entrepreneur, television personality, volunteer for multiple charities, Miss Montana USA 2022, and official delegate for Miss USA 2022.
Heather is a recent law school graduate from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law, as one of the youngest students in her class. Heather was one of only 18 law students accepted into the NSU Law Honors Program. At NSU Law, Heather was greatly involved as an executive board member of multiple student organizations. She was the President of the Real Property, Probate, & Trust Law Society; Vice President of the Transactional Law Practice Group; Elections Committee Representative for the Student Bar Association; Director of Social Media for the Sports & Entertainment Law Society; and Lead Associate of LexisNexis on campus.
Heather is a proud alumna of West Virginia University. With a strong commitment to her education, Heather received a full academic scholarship to attend WVU, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism, a minor in Political Science, and graduated Cum Laude in May 2018. In addition to graduating with honors, Heather was named the 2018 Outstanding Senior by West Virginia University Reed College of Media, and she made Dean’s List and President’s List.
With a desire to combine her Juris Doctor degree with her journalism and political science background, Heather’s goal is to work as a full-time attorney and obtain a part-time role as a legal commentator for a major news network. Ultimately, her objective is to host her own legal television show. Currently, Heather works part-time as a television host for the Lifestyle Network.
Heather is known for her love of giving back through community service, especially for her work at Tomorrow’s Rainbow, where she helps to provide grief support and trauma counseling for children and their families. The City of Fort Lauderdale recognized Heather’s dedication and commitment to her community with an official City Proclamation that proclaims January 7th as “Heather Lee O’Keefe Day.” Also, Heather was awarded the prestigious Kalevitch Service Award at NSU Law, for which she was nominated for by her fellow law school classmates.
When she is not busy studying or volunteering, Heather’s favorite hobbies are horseback riding, dancing, and adventure travel—such as climbing the Las Peñas stairs in Ecuador, swimming with sharks in the Exumas, and riding horses on cliffs in the mountains of Colorado. Heather qualified for the Barrel Racing World Championships during her competitive horseback riding years, and she was a Miami Dolphins Cheerleader finalist during the 2018-2019 season.
